Barge-in Politeness
This politeness feature makes your interaction with the computer more enjoyable as you can interrupt the program from reading long passages
of text or news stories which you do not want to hear.
Program Startup
After you start the program from the windows desktop icon, Talking Desktop will do the rest, present the internet connection
window to you, retrieve the latest news headlines or favorite opening weather map.
No Fuss Shutdown
Say 'Shutdown Program' and TalkingDesktop will close all open windows, turn itself off and then shutdown your computer.
Voice Confirmation
The program can repeat back out-loud to the user, each word or phrase that the speech recognition engine hears.
When a user is unable to see the monitor, the software can repeat out-loud the speech recognition that it is hearing
as it listens to the user.
Responds Out-Loud To Confirm Completion of User Issued Commands
Example: After asking the program to follow a voice browser page "text link", TalkingDesktop will respond out-loud with got it
and then proceed to the linked web page.
The software issues verbal feedback to the user whenever possible.
Larger Text, Fonts and Buttons
The TalkingDesktop desktop display uses much larger text, larger fonts and big buttons where needed so that everything is easier to read.
Our new Concept Voice Email program uses very large text, covers the entire screen and is completely voice controlled.
Vocabulary
Customize the vocabulary with words and names that you use everyday. There is an 100,000 word vocabulary and
the number of words that you can add is unlimited. You can add, change, remove, or alter the pronunciation of words in the vocabulary.
Initiate Assistance
Talking Desktop has the ability to initiate basic assistance such as asking you to connect to the Internet or review stock alerts.
Text-to-Speech Co-Existance
Our software comes with three (3) text-to-speech voices. Our voices will not interfere with other text-to-speech voices on your computer that are being used by different applications.
Flavors of English Recognized
The speech recognition engine will adapt to American, Australian, Canadian and British speakers of English.
Multiple user voice profiles
Multiple voice profiles may be setup to accommodate a variety of users on the same computer.
